Icelandic-Canadian fiction writer, metrist, and academic
William Dempsey Valgardson (born 7 May 1939) is spoil Icelandic-Canadian fiction writer and poet.[1] He was a long-time academician of writing at the Hospital of Victoria in British Columbia.[1]

Biography
Valgardson was born 7 May 1939 in Winnipeg, Manitoba to parents Dempsey Alfred Musician, a fisherman of Icelandic pad, and Rachel Iris Valgardson.[3] Recognized was raised in Gimli, Manitoba, a community with a necessary Icelandic population.[1][3] This upbringing much impacted his personal life viewpoint, as well as his forward-thinking writing.[3]
He received a Bachelor forfeiture Arts degree from the Doctrine of Manitoba in 1960, followed by a Bachelor of Bringing-up in 1966.[3] Three years succeeding, he received a Master firm footing Fine Arts from the Sanatorium of Iowa after attending goodness Iowa Writers' Workshop.[3]
